Peru After-school Project
Tree of Life International is starting an after-school program for an estimated 50 plus children in Urubamba, Peru. We are working in conjunction with our friends at Mision America* who have been serving the local community and Cusco region for over 25 years.
*ASOCIACION MISION AMERICA with RUC 20528020161 specializing in PRESCHOOL AND PRIMARY EDUCATION. Created and founded on 06/12/2007, registered within the commercial and mercantile societies as an ASSOCIATION in Peru.
Goal and Vision of the Project
To provide a safe, creative, and loving atmosphere for children in the Urubamba urban area to come after school until parents get off work. Children will participate in dynamic theme-based activities, receive a hot lunch every day of the week, and be cared for by loving and experienced volunteers. Opportunities will also be provided to the parents of the children to learn practical life skills, and how to better parent. Parents are greatly benefited by having a safe place to keep their children while they are at work.
